OK let me rephrase what I said...all the wide springers with shock (what you have) use the same spring...the 163 spring is for the non-shock springers and also uses an inner spring....Shortening the springs will just make it bottom out easy...shoulda bought a Harley OEM springer...would have saved you a lot of headache.
Okay got it and like splatt said oem are hard to find and you are right, would of saved me the head ache and a lot of advill. should of kept the original front end and changed out the handle bars.......

Gunn, are your mounting brackets for the shock welded to the front end or are they bolt on? I'm wondering if the shock is bottomed out and not letting the front part of the springer move up where it should be? Shock looks very short in the pics you posted. Just thinking.

It's welded just like the fender brackets whatcha thinking ? I should give up and buy a new bike
