We started using it to get early Northstar engines to quit leaking oil. Especially on the oil pan and bearing plate. Some numnuttz designed the oil pan seam below the correct oil level in the engine.
Just thinking, this is one area I wouldn't Experiment. If my builder days Yamabond then Yamabond it is... I really wouldn't want to take it back apart....
Loctite 510 is more suitable then the 515 but builders I know use grey Yamabond.....
Yamabond is he only way to go for no gasket mating surfaces like cases. I've tried Loctite industrial products and few others and they didn't stand the time test. 3M makes a good one but it's like $60 a tube.
