I was working on my carb a few days ago changing the Jets. Moved to higher numbered Jets. Road the bike a couple times after this and it seemed to run well.
However I broke the enrichner cable and bought a new one along with a mount from cv performance to mount the enrichener right on the carb instead of on the left of the bike.
Installed today and now the bike lacks power and acceleration unless the enrichner is pulled open.
As I was mounting the enrichener i received new screws for the top. The carb top/vacuum piston came open and I'm worried that it became disturbed. Would this cause what I'm seeing before I open it up.
I have to ask … since you mounted the cable on the other side of the bike did you loop the cable so it works in the same direction as before … meaning in is no enrichment and out is full enrichment … just asking
With opening the carb top, unless you took care to ensure the rubber diaphragm is correctly in place, before refitting the top, there is a risk of damaging it. Carefully go over what you did, checking as you go, taking the advice above regarding possible leaks.
Adjustment to the cables. This one is a derp moment for me. I'm not sure I had the cables adjusted to actually ever give me wot. So just a very stupid mistake.
That's Ok Super, its usually something dumb that's over looked that fixes it. Yesterday my VOES - hose pulled loose but I was chasing ghost till I found it..
