it does have a different cam, not sure exactly what that is just yet. Should know today.
and slip-ins. But otherwise, just another heavy flh.
My personal opinion is the best combination for convenience and hassle free results is to replace the cam position sensor with an OEM type one and get a Dynatek 2000p.
The 2000p just plugs into your existing wiring harness and is head and shoulders above the screaming eagle ignition module IMO.

At the time our bikes were built they had to meet EPA regulations and the ignition timing advance curves were compromised, as were the cam profiles, airbox and mufflers. IMHO we cannot do a 'proper' basic tuning upgrade without replacing the ignition module, to get the benefit of improved timing curves. Having a heavy FLH probably makes that even more necessary/desirable!

When I remove the cone I just hook a bungee to it and swing it to the side.
N.P.
However, I have been seriously thinking if I run out of projects, i will wire in a plug.
For one BIG reason -
if the unit ever failed on the road I do carry a spare and it would be a 10-minute fix.
I have talked to Daytona and they have told me failures are almost unheard of unless they cooked by improper exhaust routing.
In fact, the only reason they will fail (as others) is heat.
Mine has been in for over 5 years.
To Sturgis twice.
Never a hiccup.

That’s pretty much what I just did, replaced my Screamin Eagle, paid $140 for the dyna2000p, well worth it.

What did you use for a hall effect pickup (cps )in the cam nose cone?

I'll probably just replace the cam sensor with an oe style. Anyone know the difference between p/n 32400-80a(what my parts book calls for) and 32404-90?
I do like the 2000p, so that might be an option.
as a side note, started stripping down the bike today to pull the engine...it has an ev27 cam, so I'll be getting rid of those adjustable crane pushrods. Anyone want to trade those for stockers?

The later one has an "Altitude Sensor " in it which is nothing but a kill switch if you dump the bike.. Not sure if you can find the earlier one that's why I suggested the SMP MC-SPA2.... Hall effect pick up....

Last time I bought some stock pushrods they were like $6 a piece.

That's one I used for my replacement about two years ago. No problems to date.
