This means i will take texashillcountry advice, and cherish and keep them!
I already polished it, shines like a diamond
Only need to buy some new pads, change dot5 oil, and bleed it like they used to.
New brake pads, kept the caliper, because is way ahead of oem one:
And fitted new ignition cover, you only have to remove the two rivets, remove the V2 cover, remove the two screws, and screw the new cover over the intermediate one:
Actually only the 93 is a Nostalgia. 94-96 were called the Heritage Softail Special.
That's not what my Harley dealership told me. 96 is in fact an FLSTN Nostalgia. They made them from. 93 to 96. Each year a different color way. But I was told they were called the Nostalgia as well.
Seems like mine did not come with fishtail pipes!
Could this be a difference between US and European versions?
Can I just buy the fishtail ends and bolt them on, or must i change the exhausts altogether?
Thanks
Just picked this beauty up for 4600 bucks. The guy had no clue what it was. Bought it for 10k in Florida, then barely rode it. Ive noticed a few differences with mine. The headlight bezel has that hook at the top. My air filter cover has an emerald green halrey logo. Vance and Hines long shots (i think) Came with the stock seats with the 2 up and backrest. Im extremely pumped on this bike. Sexiest bike ive ever laid eyes on.

Your dealer is wrong. an aftermarket company called Nostalgia Cycles sued H-D over the name, so Harley quietly renamed the bike "Special" but never changed the model designation.
1996 they all used the same owners manual. There is no mention of the Nostalgia in 1996. I just looked again..
Somewhere I have a '94 brochure. I can look it up, if need be, but I owned a '94 I bought new.
That's me, September 9, 1993, taking delivery of my new 1994 Heritage Softail Special. Inside the door you can see the '89 Sportster I traded in on it. One of the happiest days of my life.
All I am saying is there is no Nostalgia listed in 1996. Sure the Heritage is but not by that name. You see many attaching the name to post 1993. Bikes.
It was 1993 when Nostalgia Cycle Steve Nelson announced plans to sue Harley over use of the name.
