Yeah, like Mike sez. If you have an aftermarket external module, then you definitly want to go with either the HD or the Standard one. For the cheap way out, put the Standard one on exactly as the OEM one is there now, then check the timing with a light. If your bike is running now with the old one, then might be a good idea to check the timing before you tear it apart, then put the new piece on and check the timing and set it to where the old one was.

Will it affect you when riding if it goes out going down the road or just only on starting the bike? Mine is not corroded from moisture either but cover screws one was real loose. Now I have stage 3 on the bike with a Andrew’s cam. So it should have a upgraded programmer or something installed already. I’ll have to look under the seat to see. So don’t think a dyno 2ki probably won’t do me any good of I got one under the seat but if not then I may go that route. Factory Harley part is pricey.
I did end up going with a Dynatek unit. Not a difficult install. My problem wasn’t the sensor, it was a leaking intake manifold at the rear cylinder head (like someone said above). I didn’t sell the bike after all, and it starts instantly and has run with zero issues since. I’d recommend it.

If I have after market module then I would not need the dyno2ki right? Or would it matter what programmer module I got? I’ll check tonight see what’s under the seat. But looks like cheapest if by much the standard manufactured one you mentioned. If oit one on exactly way it sitting now is there a garuntee it will be set the same on timing? Or can it still be off some?
JMO here but even if you have an aftermarket module you should go ahead and get the 2ki.
Your bike will start way easier.

Kinda what I’m thinking honestly. I can get a ultra kit put in way cheaper than a factory one at dealership. But so many here like the dyna and I’m betting it’s my best bet not sure if I like
something I read about ultra programming it part not really setup programmed for the bike or something like that. If I can do it and not be hard I prefer to do it. Tonight I’ll check see what a under the seat what I got. Make sure all will work together or if it has to be disconnected. I’m told it will if I got the ultra kit.
