I do not rely on luck. W6 runs out of steam about 500-600 rpms before E5S, based on the data I have. I did not say E5S out runs W6, as that's a subjective matter.

I think you need to go over to the other forum htt and see what they've said about the E5S...

When your done with your build, it would be nice to see a dyno sheet..

In the mean time here's a goal you can shoot for... The blue curve is the W6@10.2:1

Your graphs ?

Some observations:
Bob himself said W6 is good only until 5,5k or preferably tad less, W6H being capable for few hundred rpms more..Size of the engine is not mentioned anywhere...There's over 6 years between those runs..How did those two graph ended up being on same sheet ?..in a comparison with W6, W8 seems to be very crappy cam or tuner hasn't been doing his/hers job..or something.

As I have seen lots of different dyno graphs for W6 as well as for W8, to me, something doesn't look right in here. I might be wrong as well.

Please do not get me wrong; I do not have anything against W6 as I think its a great cam, but I need more lift and a bit more (usable) power band up to 6k. In parallel with E5S, I have been also studying W6H, Mackie 580, VT5010 and even T-Man 625. But I think I need to drop out TMan, as I might not go over 10 with CR. TMan should be be run between 10-10.5.

As you can see, those cams represent several different philosophies while still trying to address same user group. Therefore initial selection won't be easy for me. These comparisons are driving me nuts....

Trying to choose the right cam can get to you..
Yeah I don't remember why the 8 fizzled out. I do know that I did get it up to 96/96 though.. @80"+.030 over before the crank pin sheared...
And yes the 6 pretty much tops out at 5500. I just don't see the E5S surpassing it. I could be wrong.. time will tell..
As for the 6H it does carry a good torque curve and ramps pretty quick.. Mackie and VT are all good choices as well...
Currently I'm looking at a Redshift 576V2. Low LSA and is supposed to carry out nicely. They claim it's easier on the valve train because of the larger lobe base circle. We'll see..

Wonder if this guy ever complete his task and wonder if he had documentation.. I would love to see his outcome.. I'm thinking it wasn't too good that's why he never came back..
