Yep, I know it’s an 88 Evo, mid to late 90s trans and the frame is a big ? mark. Probably will end up doing a custom build title with assigned VIN on it.

It could certainly be a 2000 model, it just isn`t a Harley Davidson, it is a custom...

Which means it is anybody's guess as to what service manual you should own.

That is a standard Evo and earlier primary chain tensioner setup.

Looks like a `98-`06 clutch.

For torquing sequence of engine, primary and transmission:

I align the transmission, torque the mounts.

Install the primary (engine mount bolts loose at this point), torque the primary to transmission and primary to engine bolts.

Check the engine mounting areas, if any space between the engine and frame, you will need to shim.

Torque engine mounting bolts.

Excellent and thanks for the info! Seems the main harness is from the late 90’s as well. Harley’s diagrams from 97 seem to match up pretty accurately. My original assumption for the order matches what you mentioned, so that’s good! Just gotta make sure I have this aftermarket coil wired right and I’ll be off soon! Waiting on a starter coupling to arrive since mine was missing... just a really big headache diving into something with a lot of random questions you don’t know how to answer.

Completely backwards of the way I have always done it...

make sure to take the paint off the motor and trans mounts first and hone them flat

1. Install motor (torque the rear and check if front needs shims) motor completely shimmed a torqued before going any further...
2. Install trans plate loosely
3. Put transmission in trans plate loosely
4. Install primary cover and tighten primary to motor bolts followed by primary to trans bolts

At this point your trans is aligned with motor.

5. Tighten trans plate to the transmission (not the frame)
6. Check to see if you need shims between trans plate and frame
7. Tighten trans plate to frame with shims in place
8. Check and shim top mount...

Shims may not be necessary...most times they are
