‘97 FLHR idle cable spring install

Yeah, definitely the wrong spring. Like THC pointed out; The spring always comes ON the cable. I’m guessing the cable I received is a throttle cable not the idle cable!

Most guys I know leave the idle cable off. I found this out after I just replaced both of mine.

A friend of mine does the same thing.
Personally I still run both cables but in a pinch I'd just run the throttle cable.
