Ignition modules
Nothing wrong with waste spark. My Esprit had it, my Camry had it, RAV4, Corolla, etc. HD just beat them all to it by a couple decades.
Now, RSB, you said
"They are all good that you mentioned, buy what you can afford but don't believe the guys who say there is no difference tween dual n single fire. I just put in an ultima ignition n an aftermarket single fire coil and the vibration on my bike was cut by atleast 40%."
From an experimental standpoint, you changed 2 things, the module and the coil, maybe 3 if the plug wires are now also new, and you said the bike vibrates less. What caused it? You can't pick one without further research. Put a new waste spark coil on in place of your single fire and see if there is any difference.

I wonder if it's possible the other guy had an issue with one of the components like the wires... A bad wire or even an incorrect wire will cause ignition problems when used with said ignition... Should only be using carbon core... Definitely not the steel suppression cables...

The Crane dies in heat. Rarely do I get that pissed but entire Crane experience made me livid.
I currently use Daytona, the one that mounts to the panel. Seems like a cooler solution than the cone mounted versions. I'm not a pro mechanic so this ain't a recomondation worth noting, it's just what I have.

LMAO!!knew I'd get called out when I posted it. It's definitely a combo of coil& ignition. I may just slap the dual fire in n see what's up when I get home, pretty sure the cam n quick rods didn't smooth it out there alot at play,I also put in new lifters though the OEM only had 26k on em.

I went ahead and switched the coil n to my surprise there wasn't much noticeable difference. I had a problem w the single fire coil. I believe the updated ignition did more to smooth it out than dual or single fire coil.....there's a difference but its only noticable at low rpm. In the end I'm actually running dual fire. I enjoy working on bikes so it's a labor of love for me away from life n wife where I spend my free time. I'm gettin to the point that any upgrades from this point are out of my pay grade n dislike having others do the work on my bike. I talked w Scott from Hillsidecycle.com n seems like a great guy. They are within driving distance for me,though still in the research stage I'll probably end up there.
I know Scott well, I used to live up by him. Had several builds by him..Although his heads are some of the best out there some of his other work it's not up to par.. I've had major builds with major failures. I would recommend his heads but that's as far as I'll go anymore..

Gregg really, honestly knows his ****!!!!
