Like said, should be fixed as soon as you can. Some of the reason this happens is because of age / mileage, lack of riding, or one of the most important, not letting an EVO warm up.

This was what I did wrong. But I cleaned the oil and applied some liquid window sealer. It stopped the leak and now I let it warm up now. If the leak returns I’ll replace the gaskets and do the stage 3 while I’m in there.

O.P. ... a little advice that may help in the future ... EVO's tend to like a little bit of warmth before taking off for a ride ... Give 'em a minute to get the blood flowin' ... The base gaskets will thank you :>
^This. Aluminum cylinders need a minuet to expand from heat to get a good seal on the base gasket. Ive got lots of miles on two EVOs, I always let them warm up on a cold start and i have never had a base gasket leak. In fact, my '98 is still on its stock base gaskets and its dry as a bone.
