That's a good method. Marking a flat on the PR helps, and or moving over one flat, then tightening it down would get you back to the correct position too. I don't quite pre-load my lifters as much as you do. When I ran the Wood 6 cam, the recommended pre-load was at .142. The current slow-leakdown lifters I have and running a EV-13 cam, I'm good at .066-.073 recommended pre-load.
I'd probably be good at running them .100, but that was what they recommend as the best geometrical angle for the PRs. I'm sure it doesn't make a difference. They work nicely though.

Pictures would help. Unless you're leaking I wouldn't worry about them at all.
Keep an eye on them for a while is my advice.
I'm not gonna do any more rides on her till I get in my "riding comfort zone"
The forward control pegs blow chunks. Damn near impossible to keep my shoes from sliding off, they suck. J & P has 7 1/4" fully adjustable mini boards for under 160, free shipping. Anybody know of something better/longer don't be shy.
And can I get a hell no on those mini mirrors. It's like death waiting to happen. Still searching.

If that stuff is made by Kuryakyn then all I can say is good luck.
I recently picked up a set of OEM mirrors that you can have it you want them.
Ah yes, the seat for the lower pushrods tube seal.. it's not a shim.. The lifter blocks are not machined to accept just an o-ring... If you look closely one side is machined (well probably not machined but definitely a full flat surface as compared to the other side) which goes up to support o-ring properly...

I'm fully aware of that but that's what AAK is calling it.
AAK said his bike didn't have any of them in it when he rebuilt it and it seals so I told him to keep an eye on it.
