Guys my buddy has a 1992 dyna. Last year bike ran fine. Over the winter we changed pipes, new air filter and rebuilt carb (still has stock carb). When rebuilding carb we found the accelerator pump was dry rotted and torn. We put all to gather and now it is missing at mid to wide open throttle. It starts super easy and idles perfect and runs fine sitting still will rev to the moon. but when under road load mid throttle then starts missing. Looking for some help...we have been through the carb and cant find anything wrong but by no means am i a carb expert lol

Pipes??? If Drag pipes you have found yer Problem!!!
Now, air Filter?? if you take out a Filthy K&N and put in a Brandy new Sponge... you will be horribly Rich... Guaranteed... BTDT
Had screaming eagle air filter set up and went to a coned style but i went back and it still does it. THe old pipes were the short grass burners and now there is pipes similar to a short shot. At idle and sitting still revs no issues..only experience under load while riding
Going back to SE air cleaner is a good start...especially if it came with the K&N filter... Pipes??? Can't help, I have never been able to make short nor large diameter pipes work ... on Anything!
Your symptoms sound like maybe you have an air leak... Manifold maybe??
Is that a CV carb?? check there wasn't a Washer under the needle that got omitted
ya CV carb...will check for leaks tonight...also wondering if it could be related to the vacuum thing that changes the timing...I am wondering if i have a vacuum leak on the carb possibly.

A new hose between carb/manifold, and VOES is always good!!
If the float level is low, at high RPM she'll miss.
If the vacuum diaphragm in the fuel petcock isn't working, or if you've got a crack in the line, at high rpm you lose engine vacuum and the float bowl doesn't fill.
I had a bad lifter on the intake side once, that made a miss from low fuel level... High rpm she wasn't making manifold vacuum, and the float bowl would dry out.
If you've got an aftermarket ignition with the VOES switch setting, set backwards where it advances under no vacuum she'll miss at high speed.
If the choke is stuck out inside the carb, she'll miss at high speed... The choke passageway turns into an air vent, and leans out. Sometimes taking the cable out of the hanger folks will horse on it, and the valve inside the carb will stick.
