Just got riding the bike after i installed the original chrome nose cone and its still tapping,so that rules out the black nose cone,at this point im thinking a lifter went bad idk what else to think??
Earlier I mentioned that a sitting motor could cause a condition where the lifter will not pump fully. Very well could be the case. It just sucks that you made a change and the noise is there which would be my first suspect... A gauge would tell you a lot. Some say as long as the light goes out your good but I'm not too keen on that... It gives me comfort... Plus I think they look good...
