I have a 98 Classic. With efi. It’s great. I won’t trade mine in.

They are relatively easy to change to a carburetor on those and not too expensive either.

I would consider 1996-1998....nice upgrades

surly you must know a cheaper way. Going through jp cycles I’m looking at about $1000 +/- to convert my 98 classic to carb.

Not everything has to be bought new....most of the stuff turns up on EBay. Sell the old EFI and help make up the difference.

Throw enough money at Magneti Marelli....you’d still have a 20+ year old system.

I’m still EFI here.....but when the ETS is not available anymore. Then.....it’s carburetor swap time.

Used CV carb and intake - a Twin Cam intake and carb will work on it. Ultima 2000I ignition KIT, comes with wiring, white wire with black tracer under right side of fuel tank is switch power. Used Pingle petcock off Ebay, Pingle fuel tank adapters. $500 if you do your homework plus carbs are the catazz on a Evo, ran both EFI and carb.

The 98 will have the newer clutch basket. I've never dug into the newer ones so I can't say if it's desireable to have.
I have a 98 CI. Runs and rides great. But it is efi.

What flywheel did you use to keep the Magnetti & Marelli efi?

I I think he meant He's got a '98 Electra Glide classici/injected.. I don't see how you can make a 98 in stroker Evo motor
