Timken bearing question.
My 95 fxstc has an aftermarket front wire wheel. I just purchased a ride right wheel for the front, wire also just wider. The wheel on the bike now has no washer or spacer to set bearing free play just the internal spacer. The new wheel is the same way. Is this because they are aftermarket wheels or are they just missing. The wheel on the bike has been on there for 20 years no problem.

Not unusual for wire spoke wheels. They had different length spacer tubes available and often as not, didn't require the special spacer washer or shims. Just use a piece of all thread or your axle with extra spacers to check the end play of the bearings before you install it.
