Default Brake Pad Recommendation

I plan to replace the brake pads on my ‘95 FXDS Convertible. What’s the best way to go, OEM or aftermarket pads? Are EBC pads any good?

What pads are on it now?

Replace the old pads with "like for like."

Congrats on having the best motorcycle that HD ever built.

No, I'm not kidding.

Buy the best you can get from Lyndall or EBC.

I like OEM pads.....they always install perfectly. They perform the same and I know what to expect.

Aftermarket can be perfect or just plain awful.

So.....read the reviews carefully.

Along with brake pads.....inspect the brake lines and brake fluid also. If they’re old....replace. While you’re at it....make sure the brake light works. Brakes are one thing it’s not worth compromising on.
