I just got off the phone with Johnjz and he confirmed to me that some of the tranny mount studs did go all the way through the case and the best way to fix them is by capping them from the inside with yamabond.. It's the same s*** he uses on cases when he puts them together.. Not all the mount studs on the bottom of the transmission case are blind holes..

98..Do you just coat the threads with the Yamabond?
You might consider new studs rather than reuse the old ones.
I think I'll be pulling the transmission but not pulling it apart.. Take the top cover off, rinse it all out and blow it out dry.
Then take some carb cleaner and spray the threaded holes real well and blow them out with air and then put a little dab inside the threaded area as well as on the new studs and put them in and let it sit for 24 hours. Then throw it all back together and put new fluid in it. Yes most likely new studs..
