Update on leak.. I was able to remove the shock no problem got the old stud out.. I let the trans drain for seven/eight days leaning to the right side.. Then I took a q-tip with some brake clean on it and got up in there and swabbed it real nice till no residue was seen.. I purchased a new stud from the MOCO. It comes with a sealer already applied.. Also the 3/8 end that goes into the trans did not seem to have a normal thread pitch.. It looked like the threads were squared off a little..
I then applied Loctite 680 green retaining compound and used a double nut tho install it into the case.. let it sit 2 days to set (only requires 24 hrs) but wanted to make sure.. After getting everything else back on I took it out over the weekend, about 200 miles and still no sign of leakage.. Pretty confident it won't return.. Would've been nice if the case wasn't manufactured like that.. It's the only mount on the case that goes all the way through..
So I'm back on the road.. on another note, I Sold my Shovel over the weekend.. I put it on Craigslist Friday morning and gone Saturday evening.. Gonna miss that one.. it was extremely reliable... Actually smoother than Fatboy....

Glad you're back on the road, 98. Quite a job, that one.
