Went out to the garage yesterday morning only to find tranny fluid on the floor.. So I put down some speedy dry and then a pan under it... I don't think it's the 5th gear seal. They usually only leak a little.. This one has been leaking for a couple of days now and appears to be above the shock.... Hopefully I'll get into it Sunday..
What upgrades do you have in mind as long as you're in there?
Yeah the old while I'm in there... Lol... Not too sure there's going to be any upgrades. Just want to see if I can get it fixed.. I got too much cash going out within the next month, close to 15 g's.. I'm upgrading the 30+ year old AC system to a heat pump. Also need to insulate the attic better and a new upgraded 200 amp service..
If it's something relatively easy I'll get it back on the road in no time but if it's a case or something like that it might be a while.. Good thing I have the shovel, at least I got something to ride..
I took another quick look under the trans and cannot see any physical leaks.. Nothing on the trap door side and nothing on the drive gear side as well as the top cover gasket. It's definitely coming from the bottom of the trans and leaking onto the shocks The largest drip I see is coming off of one of the stud mounts.. Has anyone ever seen fluid loss through any of the mounting in the bottom of the trans case...? Definitely looks like the trans is coming out for a closer inspection.. It's the only way I can see up in there but if anybody has any ideas or even past history of something like this occurring to the bottom of the case, I'd appreciate it.. Thanks... One more thing, there was never any odd noises, vibrations nothing... The trans still shifts perfectly... No problems mechanically...

Paragraphs are your friend!!!!!!
That said LOL your gonna have to take it apart to see.
FWIW my Baker sheared 2 dogs and that ate up just about everything else including cracking the housing.
It shifted fine but that's about all that worked as normal when it grenaded.
