Haul Bikes quoted me $599 for enclosed shipping and insurance. They do a nice job of documenting the condition of the bike at pickup with a video and pictures. I know I could find a cheaper shipper but I've used them before and they've done a good job.
There's a '92 Dyna Custom Glide in the St. Louis area (wheeler dealer) on Chopper Exchange for $4995 but they wouldn't sell it to me without me being in person to sign the paperwork!
There's a '98 Dyna on Craigslist (Houston) but I don't like the look. I think in '95 they changed the frame rake from 32 deg to 28 deg which gives the bike a compacted look. I paid $2995.
About the rake, it did not change....The Dyna Low Rider and Dyna Wide Glide were 32 degrees while the Super Glide and Convertible were 28 deg.

And... If you look...that is Smoke and Mirrors... Harley is Famous for changing Fork/Shock Length, and claiming Rake!!!!! when really, only Trail Numbers are [slightly] affected...
I finally got a chance to take the bike out.. The bike has a hot cam and rides great! I got it up to 65 mph and there was NO vibration! I'm very impressed with the Dyna. I still have to change the base gaskets but that'll be in a few weeks.
Congrats on a VERY nice bike! I have a '93. Well it's my wife's really. LOL! Those are bulletproof really. The most overlooked maintenance item on them is the tappet filter screen though so you may want to check that. Transmission output shaft spun the inside out of my pulley so I think that's a weak spot too. But it gave me chance to change it so it cruises nice at 80mph! Had nothing to do with the 2nd gear 100ft burnouts either! 😏
Yeah, I tried to get the lifter screen out last weekend during the oil change but I was unable to loosen the plug with a screw driver and vise grips. So I just got the special drag socket off of eBay. I was planning on changing out the gaskets this weekend with the James kit but I was wondering about the lifters. The bike has approximately 30,000 miles so do y'all think I should just change them out since I have the pushrods out? I saw online that some folks claim a HD service bulletin recommends changing them out at 25,000 miles but I couldn't find the bulletin.
