Like I said, the reason for digging into the cam nose cone is that for whatever reason, the bottom two bolts on the Dyna exhaust bracket that goes through the cone cover into engine case apparently were loose, rounded out the threads in the cover and snapped off. (I never had messed with it before).
With more like 120k miles, I'd like to look at original plastic breather gear and for the hell it while I'm in there, swap it out for an S&S reed style which I just got.

I spent a lot of cold nights swapping out the top end here in Maine and thought If I could save a little time, this time, all the better. Lol
I did the adjustable pushrods/rockers myself and redid one tappet block like 3 times before I got a leak fixed.

This would have been excellent information to post a long time ago, As I said in post 2, It would have changed everything...

I've done several cams without removing rocker covers with adjustables... Easy peasy... Thanks.....
