Default Replacement ignition switch 99 Fatboy

I need a new ignition switch and key, I see these on eBay for $30 bucks. Two sources: mid-USA and V-Factor.

Does anyone have any experience with these brands or another source of known quality?

Some of the MoCo switches are made in Japan, some in China. When I went to buy one around 4 years ago, the dealer gave me a choice and I went with the one from Japan which was more expensive.

I agree. I replaced the ignition switch on my 90 FXR last year. I spent the extra money to buy the iginiton switch that was original to the bike that was made by the original manufacture in Japan. Don't F&@# around, buy the original quality part and save yourself a headache

The $25 Chinese part from J&P works well and has n9t let me down yet .... the 1995 switch had worn brass contacts and needed cleaning regularly. It would sometimes lose contact at highway speeds .... not going to happen with solid state
