I just picked one up. It runs good I am the second owner. It was brothers bike since it was new. Its a bit rough but did run well enough to ride from Arkansas to Wisconsin. So here is my big question. Is it worth a rebuild? The only thing that has ever been done to it is the paint went from white to black. Otherwise 100 percent original. Only 34000 miles are on it. What do you all think. Save or unload?

I rebuilt an '84 FXRP that had been through a flood with about 30,000 miles. It has an EVO not a Shovel engine and it runs really strong. I did put a S and S carb on it which really made a big difference. I'd say rebuild your FXRP and I think you'll enjoy it for many years. gregjo1948
