Another thought, instead of trying to find a set of SE heads just do a standard valve job on his current heads and then shave the heads. 020".. it'll also help the comp for the cam.. Now you'll be able use the OEM pushrods..

You guys are great! I think he’d go for the custom made pushrods. I never thought of going that route.

I’ll pass it along….

Evidently, he’s not having much luck finding SE heads anyways.

If your client insists on the stock pushrods with that cam, put in writing exactly what could happen and you both sign it. That way he can't come back on you for having a noisy or improperly running engine.

Take the money and the time and put it into a valve job, if he put 45,000 miles on now he's going to need a valve job on that thing anyways really soon.. So you do the valve job you shave the heads and you just reuse the old push rods.. Don't even waste your time with trying to make up and measure something, makes no sense
