She's just about finished! Unfortunately the tech is going out of state tomorrow morning and he won't have time to finish dialing a good tune before he leaves. But he shared a crummy video of it on the lift idling. Which is fine as I'll be stupid busy all weekend anyway.
So I said "hell with it" & bought an Ultima 113 at the recommendation of a guy who owns one. I'll bring the old Evo home to dismantle & learn with. Got a decent deal at Jirehcycles.com. I wanted to do an engine swap for a while, preferably WITHOUT wrecking the original.
I guess what I needed was a good excuse lol.
i hope your wife isn't listening to what im about to say.
kinda sounds like you had this planned out, been looking at replacing the engine for better performance, had a shop confirm, new engine on the way before taking the heads off to confirm? We'll keep this all quiet 🤫
Idle is a little too low.. not good for crank pin bearings.. other wise sounds like it will be a runner...
Ultima says right in their manual 900-1000 is ideal.

Oh, the missus is as jazzed about the new powerplant almost as much as I am
Why are you swapping the tranny? 6 speed? I'm running an Ultima 6 speed gearset in my 94 Ultra behind my homebuilt 96" and no issues with it at all. About $600 for it and self installation.
Griz
Im eyeballing this same move in my 93 electraglide. Constantly fishing for 6th gear! How did that swap go? You use the factory trans case right?
Pretty straight forward install in the stock case. Buy the tools for the tranny gearset removal/install. Well worth the money.
I'm running a Scorpion clutch in mine as it either has the 96" or the 113" motors in it.
