Its got to be simpler than that.... You've got the bible right? Check the wiring diagram, there's only a few parts involved with the starting circuit. The main switch, start button & kill switch on handelbars, starter relay, and the starter motor. The bike turns over in accessories so main switch and kill are OK and the starter motor and relay are also good to go. You changed the main switch so that's also good. The only thing left is that some wire has been detached /broke or connected to something else and I'm betting its in the main switch area. You've got to trace the wires BY THE MANUAL! Look at the diagram and follow every wire from where it starts to where it's supposed to go. If the manual shows 1 wire to a certain connection there should not be 2 ect ect... and reverse (2 not 1).Good luck and you'll find the problem in maybe an hours time...
