Yeah, (in another thread) I'm the guilty one for telling him to get straights for the coil and 90s for the plugs. 
With the lower sitting, pre-'89 tanks they work better than what most places sell. Had no idea the coil was mounted in such a way - never saw one like that...
But it does look like the coil ends on the wires are actually plug boots... stretched tight on the towers.
