AV and V Valve Spring Kit
Hi,
Looking to buy an AV-VSK6500 valve spring kit for an 80ci Evo but have a question.
All the info I can find say they suit from 84 - 04 models but pictures show them having a single square groove collet/retainer where as my valves have a collet with 3 round grooves.
Do I just use my collects and disregard the square ones or is the pictures just of a generic kind?

THE VSK6500 springs are for Evo early Twin Cam etc. that use the 5/16' valve.
If you have 3 grooves that's the later Twin Cam with the 7mm valves. That part # is VSK65007SG.
Both are .650 lift Beehive spring kits.
Original equipment for an Evo was the 5/16" valve. If it has 7mm valves it was updated by someone.

Will double check when the heads come back from getting seats done and milled but am 95% sure that they are the 5/16 stem dia as measured when I first took the heads apart but that was a little while ago.
