I'm getting some parts together to do the cam swap in my '92 FLHS. I've decided on the EV13 cam and various replacement parts. The only thing I would like some input on is the Lifters/Tappets. Let me hear everybody's opinion/experience with which ones you would choose.
I have always run OEM lifters in my Evo Softail (EV 27 Cam).
I've heard multiple people say to change out the lifters with the cam bearing in the early (pre-95) EVO's because they are also a 'week spot'. That's the only reason I'm looking at replacing them.
Pretty sure Larry sells Hylift...
Don't know where S&S gets their Lifters
Yes he does. I just know him to be a trusted source, so you can be sure you are getting an authentic part. Not saying there aren't many others, but way too much junk out there being sold online, so either way purchase from a legitimate supplier.
Someone commented on replacing the bearing. That is correct and essential, even if you aren't changing the cam.
