1986 compensator spacer

Default 1986 compensator spacer
Hello need to get size of the compensator’s spacer on a 1986 fxst. Don’t have a Manuel. Are these a wear item possibly. Old friends bike that his Son has now , he works on it when he can. The primary is not lining up he may have the wrong size spacer on now. I’ve seen spacer kits but the belief is it’s all stock. Thanks

Last I knew H-D offered various Thicknesses... No Help...sorry

You have to measure it and order the right size, or get the kit.

Measure the difference between the front and rear sprockets then measure your current spacer.. An or subtract what ever is necessary to get the sprockets equal.. The spacer usually goes between the rotor and the shaft extension...

The large washer goes on the out side of the drum and small ones are under the drum - yes they are sizable to use

The Spacers, are trying to reinforce that cheap ***, newer Rotor..at the splines.

It was expensive to make the dished original drum with weak magnets
