Default Update on the 1999 FXSTS

Been a while since I posted anything.
Staying busy & keeping my head above water.
Got a few pics of engine I’m stuffing in the Springer
The first pic was this January when the new S&S 111’ was delivered
to my Indy.

During assembly:
Now keep in mind I had the heads & cylinders sent to California to be Diamond Cut.
Changed cam to a Reaper 543, & heads cc’d to keep a 9.2:1 corrected compression.
Bob Woods lifters, S&S Quickie push rods , Mikuni 42 carb , Arlen Ness / Stage 1 Big Sucka breather kit & a Trask 2 into 1 exhaust..
Other parts I’ll update on this thread as I go.

Finished product:
I buckle up all my loved & cherished loved ones , including my engine . 🤣

There are some who like to sneak their big inch motors in through the back door.
You see who wears the pants around my homestead! 😉
I bring em home in the front seat & announce, “ We’re Here !!!”.

More to come down the road.
I’ll try to not take as long, this time.
Oh, this is a brand new engine.
Threw the warranty card away.

Ride Safe,
Harold

Default More parts

Thought I’d throw these pics up while I’m
at it:

New PM calipers & bracket, Speed Dealer Custom Rockers ( lowers front end 1”)
EBC 5 button floating rotor, Buchanan Stainless Twisted polished spokes,
new oem rims , Fournales Front & rear shocks.
Relocated turn signals to forks & used black housings.
I plan to make as much of the bike black as I can.
Ride Safe,
Harold

Loving the black engine.
I was going to be "that guy" and ask the question; how do you plan on stopping that monster....
Nice choice in caliper!!!!

We found depending on the cam choice the narrow duration units second and some of third gear dynas have an issue with rear wheel steering

caution making it jump around turns - over the right shoulder will be the rear wheel

100 HP does not do this its the 100 pounds of torque in the 7 to 1 - 100 torque - 700 pound machine + 500/16 round rear tire and no rear swing arm heim joints

And where would these heim joints go, John .

I think he's referring to the lack of, on a rubber? mounted Dyna swing arm.
