Default 95 FXD Died while riding

Hi guys, as stated my bike is a 95 FXD. I was out riding Friday afternoon and about 5 miles from the house, I looked down at the tach and it read 0. About 10 seconds later the bike started to cut out and then shut off completely. Thankfully I was able to coast to a cross street and make a turn to get off the busy road I was on. Looked over the bike, let it cool a bit and then turned the switch back on and nothing, no electrical power, so I had the bike towed to the house. I charged the battery up yesterday and put it back on the bike today and when I turn the key (switch), I get nothing, no lights, nada. The battery has 13.2 v with the switch off and on. I check all over the bike for loose wires, burnt parts etc and there's no visible damage. I have a FSM and the electrical troubleshooting guide. I check the main 30amp breaker and there's 13.2 v to each side when the key is off or on. The other 15 amp breakers have no voltage to either side whether the key is off or on. Next, I check the keyed ignition switch. There's 13.2 v from a frame ground to the red wire of the ignition switch when the key is off or on. I'm not too savvy when it comes to electrical or reading schematics, but I think that when I turn the switch to on, there should now be 13.2 v at the back/red wire but there isn't. There isn't 13.2 v to the black/red when the switch is off either, but there shouldn't be (I guess). So, I'm thinking that because there's isn't any voltage to the black/red wire when the switch is turned on, I have a bad switch. Is this correct? Thanks in advance, I attached schematics

I had a starter relay go out on mine and the first indication was the gauges shutting down.
There were two, I replaced them both (about $20).

If there's power to the red, there should be power to both the red/bk and the red/violet with the ignition switch in the run position.

Thanks Schex. I just ran a jumper from the red wire to the red/black and now I have power so that confirms the bad switch. I might go keyless with the replacement. If anyone has replaced their switch with keyless and can recommend one, I'd appreciate it, Thanks.

Thanks for the input RHPAW. With the bike being a 95 I should probably replace those relays anyway.

Good outcome.
How was your tow experience?
I haven’t been too happy with AAA, long wait with auto or complete incompetence attempting to tow bike.

Tow experience sucked. I have roadside assistance on my insurance with Progressive and it took them 2 1/2 hours to get there. Plus I didn’t have a good internet connection to use the app and needless to say when you call an 800 number you end up talking to a machine. I actually went home and came back to the bike later. The truck that showed up was a flatbed that tilted and from towing so many cars that broke down, the bed has oil residue all over it which made for a slippery exercise to get the bike on and off. I sat on the bike holding the front brake tight while the driver tilted the bed up and down.

Some of them don't want you on the bed, but realize you're the only one that knows what needs to be done.
I would like to see the guys with a van, ramp and wheel chock were legitimized under a tow plan.

The best keyless ignition I can think of is the motogadget m-unit. I rewired my 84 with one last October. It was worth every penny and not a difficult job.

Thanks, I checked it out and it looks like a great option.
