The black box module is only replaceable with original equipment that may or may not be functional later model boxes may work as long as wire colors match and you dont mind custom connectors. So what are my aftermarket ignition options that might eliminate the black box and provide a new cam case module. If its a single fire kit it should include everything dual fire preferred since that what the moco provided. Parts numbers too please
I am now aware of the Ultima 53-636 seems complete if pricey. Any others you know appreciated!

And let me confirm....if I do get a single fire kit, I can toss the original black box module right???
You do not need an exclusively single fire unit, most will operate single or dual fire. Difference being - you must have a special coil to operate single fire, stock type coil will operate dual fire only.
The only connectors are at the module-to-cam sensor on the stock system, everywhere else is a terminal. On an aftermarket nose cone unit, the wires will connect at the coil with exception of the 1 voes connection, and it's a spade terminal.
Be careful what you buy, some require mechanical advance weight units. These are the most common fully electronic units:
Dyna D2000i
Ultima 53-644
S&S Hi-4N
Daytona Twin Tech 1005
I got a single fire kit with coil ordered. Its an Ultima, and I am aware they have aggressive curves, but if the mildest one is too hot I can program other one using dyna curves since its essentially the same module , I think.

You'll need a programming cable kit (Dyna DIPK-1) if you want a Dyna curve. Unless you have a high compression, you should be able to run with the pre-programmed switched curves.
Carry a spare stock coil with you at all times. The ones included in the kits have a very bad rep for longevity.
Spare coil so noted, I shall also mount it accessibly. Stock one is bolted to steering neck and just under the tank .probably a very good place to cook a poorly made coil to death
