Default Valve job

My 99 Heritage has 46000 miles on it, decided to re cam with an Andrews EV27 and some new Hylift lifters, I like to use the stock pushrods so I have the motor torn down so far I am going to hone and ring.
My local machinist retired and I am looking for someone to do the valve grinding, any recommendations for someone local in Southern Ca?
I would not mind sending them off to someone highly recommended by you guys either.

Hammer performance. (208) 696-1250

They are in Idaho, but might be worth the freight.

Their website has a lot of information… check out the tech tips section on the website.

When you do a valve job, you might need to shave the heads to keep the combustion chamber size correct and then you need shorter push rods.

Why don’t you just lap them and reinstall. With only 46k I’m sure the sealt are just fine….

Valves and seats are beyond lapping.

Yep, ran into same problem doing a base gasket repair a while back, and was that both seats and valve surfaces where pitted from moisture that where not just going to lap out.

In my case, have tool post grinder set up to re-grind valves ,and valve seat cutter set up to re-cut seats, so don't need to farm the work out.

If you send the heads out and they resurface them (shave) .040" or more and then add Cometic .030 head gaskets to increase the compression for the EV27 cams I would recommend adjustable pushrods..
