Placing the wrist pins in the freezer contracts the metal and they slide in like butter. Been doing that for decades on the shovel and the evos.

Default new bushings

New bushings(19.44 mm interior) installed. Need to ream them .67mm to fit the new wrist pins(20.11mm diameter). Thank you Griz for the tip on freezing them.

I used the first new bushing to push out the old one. Then cut a slice of the old one 7.65 mm and then sliced it (2.5mm approximately) to allow for contraction inside the rod. Used that to push the second bushing out.

You could have cleaned up the original bushing with a reamer and saved yourself a lot of work...

I've watched a bunch of Youtube videos where dudes go out and find bikes dismantled into dozens of pieces. Usually theyre sitting in barns or someones garage, and I always wonder how a bike gets to a point where someone goes that deep into it and just abandons it and lets it sit for 25 years.
I got a feeling the scenario in this post is how that kind of thing happens.

Where in Florida are you? I suspect you're close to me if you mentioned Red's.

You knock up the split tail that was on the P-pad and you put it aside as you can't afford it and kids or you get the responsibility guilt trip of having the family?
I went from a working model to a sport model in my early twenties, so no chance of knocking up the passengers along the way.

Pretty sure you're going to need to send those heads out and have them professionally done looks like you're going to need guides as well as a valve job...

How many miles on this motor?
