Nothing wrong with jiffy stand on a Dyna, user error perhaps.
$2.5k is probably the most I would spend for a project that has been sitting. Keep in mind you can find a very nice one running and ready to go for under $5k.
Buckhorns are not permitted on Wide Glides, know that going into this project!!!!!

I friend of mine bought a 1998 Wide glide that had been lowered.
The previous owner ground down the blade on the kickstand that keeps it from over traveling forward. That caused it to break the "cam" that's attached to the top of the kickstands leg.
To keep the kickstand from going completely forward you had to lean the bike on the kickstand while deploying it so the shortened blade would catch the stop.
I fixed it by building up the blade with a couple rows of welding and replacing the broken cam on the top of the leg.
Edited to add:
I'd rock buckhorns on a wideglide. 😎

I was able to attempt to start the Wide Glide today. spent about 2 hours on it. It has dual C/V carbs (one on each side of the motor) with dual Hyperchargers. Both carbs are leaking fuel like a siv and need rebuilding.. Massive plenum for an intake. The rear cylinder has 175 psi and the rear had 140 but after attempting to start dropped down to 125 ccp. Oil coming out of every where. MDG seal, IPB seal, base gaskets, rocker covers.. Shift arm is stripping out. Stator test ok .2 ohm and coil ok @2.5 ohm coil primary, 12k secondary. Spokes are corroding and will need relacing.. No lining on the inside of the tanks. Looks like the bike was rode pretty hard and not well maintained. Clutch feels ok but will definitely need the spring plate removed. Didn't look inside the primary. Shifter arm on trans is stripping out. Oil and grime every where will need to remove engine and trans to pressure wash. Don't know the condition of trans drive pulley, if it was updated or not.
I told them $2500 was my limit..
The only Evo's I've seen with a pair of CV carburetors had Feuling/Rivera 4-Valve heads. The dual carb manifold was part of the kit. I'm curious about that twin carb setup, Bob.

Definitely C/V carbs, possibly 40's but not jetted properly.. The plugs were quite black.
I would think it'd have to have better flowing heads if it's running that kind of carburation That's a lot of air and you ain't going to move that much air with stock heads, that's for sure.. If I do get it I'll be tearing it all down and we will find out at that point..
Most likely going to be a frame off... I thought it was a better shape than it was though so we'll see what happens...
Still sounds like a lot of work for what it is, runners for $5k that just need a good detailing are out there. This one is "only if" you have some kind of deep sentimental attachment, my opinion.

Pics??
Sounds like you will be spending more $$ than it will be worth in the end. As mentioned, plenty of other "projects" out there, with far less need in repairs. But then again there is the "fun factor" if you like wrenching time and find that kind of work enjoyable but this one sounds like it was just plain old used and abused and mis-used.
