Yeah that's right, no more Buckhorns.. Time for a little change..
I recently purchased a set of used 10" mini apes, risers and grips from a forum member here.. They're the same as what came stock on my 2013 Street Bob.. The nice thing about them is I can hide all my control wiring in the bars.. It's nice to be able to clean it up a little.. I mounted them up on 3"risers that were already on the bike..
The Duectch connectors made it so easy to de-pin and reroute the wiring through the bars and upper triple trees.. It looks a lot cleaner now.. I got super lucky that I didn't have to extend any of the wiring.. I literally had about a 1/2" to spare.. If I have to go back to the stock height risers i will but so far so good..
I also relocated the turn signals from just below the brake and clutch levers down to the triple trees.. I had a new set of turn signals on the shelf that matched my old ones perfectly.. I just have a little more writing to do and and should be able to button it all up in the next couple of days..
Here's a couple of pics..
Thanks @Rodent66 , it's all coming together nicely.. Including the old style stock rubber grips..

Looks much nicer. Tucking the wires really cleans it up. I run a set of mini apes on my 95 Convertible, but I dont think mine have the holes for internal wiring. Now I see yours and its got me thinking I need to do that too.
BTW- Buckhorns suck. I know a lot of people love them, but I've had 2 or 3 bikes with them, and they come off as soon as I can get something to replace them with.
I feel like they put my wrist at a funky angle.

You can drill your own holes if you are in love with the bars you have, done it a couple of times. just time and patience.
