Default Water in the breadbox

I recently washed the bike, oil mist on the paint from leaky rocker boxes.
Got a little water streak underside the clear lens in the gauge cluster from leaf-blowing it dry.
Mechanic finished rocker job, washed bike, now a bit of water laying at the bottom of gauge cluster, below gauges.
Not sure if this will fog, drain or evaporate.
Anyone lift or open the breadbox cluster, clean, re-seal?
What do you use to take oil-mist off paint, short of dish soap?
S100 ok to wash paint?

Yes, it's no problem. Take the odometer rest **** off with a #0 phillips at least 1.75" long.

Take the speedo cable off. Sometimes you can get it by removing the 2 screws on the rear, lift up and back. Otherwise you'll need to get it from underneath.

Pick it up and off. There is plenty length to remove the harness connectors.

There' a bracket that holds the instrument case to the top. Take that off and the guts will lift up. It may be stuck a little, be patient.

Do not take the lens off. Those screws can be tough and the rubber seal is n/a.

Much easier than it sounds, I can have mine off in less than 10 minutes.

There are 4 of the arrow screws and the whole bucket will lift up.

And yes, you can use S100 for washing your bike- its all ive used on my bikes since the 90's.
Of course- dont use the stuff made for wheels- use the regular S100.
Work quickly- rinse very well- VERY WELL- or you might end up with some streaking.
When you think youve rinsed enough- rinse one more time.
And dont get it in your eyes by accident- hurts alot!

Remove 2 hex screws lower edge top panel, reach hand in unscrew speedo cable, remove 4 screws holding gauge cluster to underside of lens panel?

Take the odometer reset **** off All else you listed is correct.

Get that done asap. Water inside is not good. You said water underneath gauges (?) That blue box may be full. I woke up thinking about this...

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just a small amount at lower edge.
My hand will have enough space to reach in and disconnect speedo?

I took a look this morning when I was in the garage.
Water is gone, no fogging.
Mechanic said there was an opening at the bottom.
Gonna leave it alone for now, 43 F today, a good S100 wash is in order.
Thanks R, you are one of the best around here.
