Those two bolt tabs will bolt up to the holes that have plastic plugs in your picture. Pull the plastic plugs out of your frame. Also, take the rear bracket off of your current seat and transfer it to the new seat. It will all bolt right up. The bolt size for the two side bolts is 1/2-13 x 3/4". That bolt is shown in the parts manual as standard for a FXSTC and FLSTF. I have the same frame as you and my seat bolts on the same way.
Ok cool, yeah thats what I was hoping.
Ill have to find some fine thread bolts, if it comes down to it, Ill get some from an Indy
thanks for the info Mano 😁
You're welcome. You should be able to find 1/2-13 bolts at any hardware store. If you want to be fancy, most of the seat manufactures along with J&P Cycles and others sell those bolts. Here is a link to some OEM ones on eBay: OEM Seat Bolt
Yes that seat is actually broken, the rear tab it’s broken on the seat base, and I think from pictures the threaded insert is missing.
it will fit or attach with the side bolts but the rear will probably walk a bit, probably not that safe with a passenger.
If I rode solo and didn’t have a female moving on the back it would be ok,, the side bolts are really only for solo seat.
I wouldn’t pay much for that seat though

Yeah I was wondering why it didnt have a rear mount, Ill see what I can do when I get it, should be able to build something to secure the rear.
I wont be carrying a passenger anyway so Its not too big of a deal

Thats a shame about the broken off rear tab. I was going to say it looks like a nice seat, possibly a Mustang. I know when you buy a Mustang seat for a Heritage they will sell you a rear mounting tab but you can just take the tab off your existing seat. The way that one is broken I dont know if youll be able to mount a new tab. I do think the side ones will fit but, as you say, if your passenger gets too jumpy itll probably move.
I am not convinced it is broken off. When the seat comes in, see if the inserts are still in the holes. If not, epoxy some threaded inserts in there and then either buy or make you a mount. It should be pretty easy to do.
