Default kit upgrades

Has anybody out there tried the Edlebrock head/cam kit combo.
I have a 97 RK that needs waking up. Is something like this worth looking into?

I don't know about the Edelbock but you can't go wrong the Branch Flowmetrics set up. Jerry Branch did most of the head work and engine developement on the Factory racing Harleys in the '70's and '80's. It's basically Branch flowed heads, Andrews cam, Hi comp pistons, aftermarket ignition, Mikuni carb and all are set up to work together as a system. You can spend a lot of time and money trying to pick out for yourself which "this" will work with "that" and still end up with a foul running mess. If you don't want to go with the whole package , which IS a bit pricey, you can call them up and get the best route to take.

Of course if you had a local engine wizard you could probably reach the same place also.

Yesterday, I got back my 1996 Road King, w/ EFI, and I had the Andrew's #27 cam, S&S quick install push rods and the JMS lifters done. I'm also running a DFO for fuel management. Had it installed then Dynoed and came out with 68.3 horse and 81 torque. I think I woke her up a bit for less than 1000.00

Big Mahk, gives you good advice I might add that Doug @Headquarters is very good at head work and engine pakages.
www.head-quarters.com You may want to check out their site and give him a call.
