Does anybody out there know which models and which years used the same frame as the 89 FLT?
My bike had been mutted up before I bought it so trying to find parts is becoming quite the nightmare. Any help would be great.
HD changed up the frame in 93 and put the battery under the seat and the oil tank under the tranny. They change the frame angain in 96 to get ready for the Twin cam to fit in easier. I have put twin cams in earley model FLH frames minimal modifications.

I put an evo in a rigid frame back in 85 (see my Avatar) with open primary and suicide shift. Man I miss that bike.
This bike is the first one I have owned with a suspension which is nice but I am trying to change a few things. The last owner change the lower legs, put on a RK nacelle and a fwew other gizmos.
I want to change the tank and speedo to hopefyully an early RK.
Although the motor company has made some changes to the frame, and to the rubber mounts over the years, the current frame is basically still the same frame as the original five-speed frame which was the 1980 FLT.
