No connectors. You just have to cut and then splice them back together again.

My 99 softail have deustch connectors under the gas tank. As I still haven't done this job, I plain to do it next winter, and I think that you have to options:

1.- Cut next to the deustch connector under the tank and add more wire lenghts if you need it or if you don't need to lenght the wires, just connect them under the tank

2.- Take the cables out of the deustch connector (more professional, I think), remove (cut) the parts that connects the cables to the connector and get new ones. Then wire your cables and put the new parts that connects the cables to the connector and put them into the connector.

Regards,

I did my 99 softail. I cut the wires under the gas tank, ran the wires through my handlebars then spliced them toghether with crimp conectors. when you cut the wires you need to stagger the cuts so the splices arn't all in the same spot.
This way I can unsplice the wires if I change my bars. I've actuall changed the bars at least 6 times over the years. I's gotten to where I can do the job in under an hour now.
Never had any problems with the crimp connectors.
