Default RE: Click.....click......nothing....

My 93 Fatboy has been doing the same thing for the last year and half. I rebuilt the solenoid and still had the same problem. I then put on a new solenoid cap with the button on the end to manually engage the solenoid. Rode it like that for about nine months. The bike always starts using the button.&nbsp\\;I replaced the starter relay this last winter and everything worked fine up until a few weeks ago and now the problem is back. I haven't actually checked the voltage going to the starter solenoid from the relay but I suspect the relay has failed again. Try running a jumper wire from the battery to starter solenoid and see if it engages then. This will tell you if the solenoid is working. Be careful because the starter will stay engaged until you break the circuit. If you have access to an automotive tester that has two alligator clips and a push button that would be the way to go.
