I have a seat on the shelf that I think came on either a 84 or a 83 FLHT Classic. It's just a little bit shorter than what goes on an 86. Needs new foam. I need to ebay that thing or otherwise get it to someone that could use it.
On my bike, the oil temp sender is a Bosch unit that goes in the bottom of the oil tank, used as the drain plug. The pressure sender is a dual sender (pressure/idiot light) screwed into the block probably where your idiot light sender is. I have no idea if these things are still available from HD, but you could probably still get the temp sender if you could cross it, and the pressure sender could be T'ed at that point.
I mean cross reference it to something else. The sender itself is Bosch. Bosch probably still makes it, just finding what they call it or who else uses it is the tricky part. I'm used to cross referencing really oddball stuff for my car, a Lotus Esprit Turbo. My favorite is a radiator cap from a 1950 Chevy BelAir.
No, that won't work for the pressure. The idiot light wire is off or on, for yes I have pressure or no, you just lost your motor. The pressure sender is a variable resistor presenting a different voltage depending on the pressure.
for my 88 the sender for the oil pressure gauge is part number 74406-87, which was still available 3 months ago when I bought one. You will need to run one more wire down to the sender.
