yep right miles, i have the right air box (canned ham) and all the right pipes. have the tour pac ,pass floor boards. and some other stuff for her in my house
I remove this radio system from 1985 FLHT.
I think it was some aftermarket.
I had 1985 FLHTC that I put the inner Fairing into like the ones here and the one that perpulreaper has. (I still have it.) They were made by a company in Southern California named Radio Caddy Inc. They are now out of business.

There are some little parts that are different, like the odometer reset **** and such. There was a different fairing for '86 and '87, which is even harder to find.
Harley did sell a radio with the Harley Davidson name on it. It was an AM/FM with a CB installed in it. It had the regular two ***** and didn't have handlebar controls.
I had a left turner make me lay my 1985 Electra Glide down in 1986. When the insurance company paid me for the damage, I bought the inner and outer fairing set up for the 1986 Factory Inner Fairing and radio. It just bolted right up. The Speedometer/Tachometer set up worked but I had to modify the mounts.

under the speed o there is all
kinds of wires i used a test lite (the kind that looks like a ice pick with a wire coming out the base) and found the beaker that had power when the bike was on then i ran a wire from the battery to the front for my all ways hot that the radio needs run them all out the side of the speed o housing so they don't show when the fairings on just takes time not real hard
The inner fairing looks great!!! Does anyone know where I could get one other than on ebay, I have a 85 flht and would like to add the inner fairing to my bike?
Thanks for any help
Hey perpulreaper, Look really nice! I like the old skool with the new skool painted inner fairing look. I read on your sig that you have added some apes? Let's see some pics with the apes. Also I am not sure if you have done anything with the 2 empty guage holes next to the radio but IMO that would be a great spot to add some tweaters...
