So I got the book and did the repair. I researched the idea of peening on the internet, gave it a try. I just "re-peened" the spots that already were there. Ran it about 3 miles and seems to be fine. Also, in the book, it doesn't mention replacing the pulley bolts. I reused them and used loctite.

Don't you feel good that you did it yourself? I'm sure you have more self confidence about tackling other problems now.

That's great news, well done. I recently fitted a new Harley brake rotor and the instructions said the screws have three 'lives' before needing replacement. So I reckon you should be OK with yours.

Always feel better doing my own repairs. That was the first time I removed a wheel - don't know why but it always seemed like a mystery to me, kinda like making a pie. Was surprised how smoothly it went. The cursing only started once I started putting it back on and dealing with threading that needle.
Thanks for all the advice.
