Well, actually, the thread has already been hijacked. I started this thread about a bad lifter and then we suddenly got into EFI tuning and whatnot. So outlaw is actually sort of bringing it back on-topic. But, you're right, a new question should be asked by starting a new thread because a new thread will get peoples' attention better than an old thread that already has 3 pages of responses.

Guilty!! Sorry fellas. I combined two issues in one post and then we took the detour. I got what sounds like lifter/gear noise AND I've developed some backfiring on deceleration. I see a good one to jump in on regarding the former and am mulling over the latter.
