FF helmets SUKK! My wife will ONLY ride with a FF, but I wear a black chrome half. I like to feel and hear the experience, and FFs insulate you from everything.
I'm just paranoid about some 'good samaritan' or untrained 'first responder', trying to remove it, while I'm lying unconscious on the interstate.
Thanks Holster Maker! I LOVE my Cee Bailey windshield!
I painted the lower dash enclosure silver... I think it looks much better than the flat black it was originally. It flows up from the chrome on the forks and is much less prominent. Makes the whole front end look like more of an integrated unit, I think.
is chrome. Yes, very nice front shot there. Was wondering about the "chrome" color of the dash assy. Sounds like a fun winter project for me. What kind of paint looks that good BTW please? To the OP I have an after market shorty custom wind screen mainly to protect the "toaster/guages". I hate looking at the world through dirty, distorted plastic and happen to like being "in the wind".

Mine too! I used some Rust-oleum Professional High-Performance Enamel in the Aluminum color (about $5/can at Home Depot or Lowes) to spray paint the black housing under the dash. It is very tough stuff, and has been on the bike for over 3 three years now. Looks a lot better than the black housing IMHO.
I simply removed everything I could, masked off the rest, sanded the housing with 150 grit then 220 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper, cleaned it really well with degreaser, then blasted it with two coats of the Rust-oleum.
BTW - my Cee Bailey windshield is crystal clear, with no distortion at all!

for the paint info. Your beautiful windscreen just might be the exception to the distorted view most of those old screens offer; esp covered with bugs and scratches. Jeez, it's so clear it's hard to tell it's even there I was thinking looking at it.
My Valkyrie had a Cee Bailey and I was impressed. Good choice! BTW--did somebody mention a half helmet in black chrome? Seems other people have good taste in helmets, too!

I just purchased a 1992 FLHS that has custom guages and 16 inch apes. I'm going to be getting a new windshield for it for long multi-day rides. Thanks for the input on the windshield. I'll contact Cee Bailey.
I bought my windshield from Rifle.com. I don't know how it compares to the Cee Bailey but the price is similar I think. (it's been a while ago...) Anyhooo, I ride with a Full Face most of the time and it works well with the Rifle shield but I'm tall and the standard shield from Rifle is at least 2 inches taller than the stocker.
