Default Dyno numbers for an EVO?

After reading some in the EVO section, I decided to switch out the cam in the EVO. The bike has always ran good and the previous owned has added just about everything you can add to the outside.

When I took it to the local wrench I decided to let him put it on the DYNO for a few adjustments and he came back and told me the cam in place now was not stock. It produces 73.5 HP @ 4500 RPM and 79.2 Ft lb of torque@ between 4000-5200 RPM.

I know there is a ton of knowledge here. How does those numbers compare with a stock EVO or twinkie and what cam do you think it may be?

All thoughts are appreciated. I will also post in the General section .

Those numbers are not bad, it can take a more than a thousand dollar bill to get to 80-80

Listed referance for you.

put mine on the dino at thunder beach in panama city 71.6 hp and 81.6 ft/lb of torque.it has a ev27 cam and has a thunderslide kit in the carb and hooker pipes with a k/n air filter now i need to go up about 2 sizes on my main jet and put in torque cones.the dino guy said if i done that it would bring up peck hp to around 76 because it was lean on the top end and the torque cones would help the torque on the bottom end with the pipes

IMO, the torque cones are a bandaid. You will get more gain by finding a more efficient exhaust. Research 2/1.

My 99 fxstc evo was 57.01 hp and 67.49 tqe stock and with andrews ev 46 cam it went to 69.51 hp and 71.46 tqe. Getting ready to tear into it soon...10:1 pistons stage 2 heads, s&s super e carb and screaming eagle ignition ,Hopefully that'll satisfy me for awhile !!!

Why would a person want to restrict the exhaust to bring up HP????
If it is lean on the top end put some fuel to it!!!
Putting cones in will help bottom end torque and hurt top end HP.

76 hp @ 5200 rpm -- 85 ft.lb @ 4200 rpm
EV27, Smitty heads, 9.6 compression, modified CV, and much modified stock exhaust, with crossover. Many dyno runs on this set-up to get the torque curve right. Tried many baffle setups in the stock H-D mufflers (shortened with 2 1/4" exit) ..pays to have a buddy in the muffler business to make the baffles up the way you want them, and a dyno across the street to try them on

Ramona, I have an evo that Smitty built back in 1989 that still runs strong. Come spring it'll be on the dyno for the first time to satisfy my curiosity.

Don't know what cam you've got, but my 93 FLHS with an EV27, street ported heads, tuned CV carb, SE air cleaner, Dyna 2000 ignition, and SuperTrapp slipons with 18 discs: (approx) 80/80. Still gets mid to high 40's mpg. IMHO, this is a very user friendly setup, lots of power, good mpg's, and decent 'around town' (low speed) performance.

Again, IMO: In order to push anywhere above the 80/80 threshold, on an 80" motor, you will need to increase compression, additional head work, more aggressive cam/timing, carb change, and tuning. Or install a big bore or stroker.
